City of North Miami Councilman Pierre Frantz Charles to host Townhall to Address Recent Immigration Updates and Legal Resources

City of North Miami Councilman Pierre Frantz Charles, M.Ed., District 4, in collaboration with the Haitian Lawyers Association (HLA) and the Association of Haitian Educators of Dade (AHED), is set to host a Legal Orientation on Recent Immigration Updates Townhall in collaboration with the Haitian Lawyers Association. This vital community event will occur on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 6-8 p.m., at the Joe Celestin Center, 1525 NW 135th Street, North Miami, FL 33167.
This town hall is designed to provide clarity and provide guidance on the latest changes in immigration policies, offering critical insights into what these updates mean for the local community. Experts and legal professionals will be on hand to share their knowledge, ensuring attendees clearly understand their rights, the most recent policy shifts, and next steps .
Featured speakers include Miami-Dade County Public School Board Members Dr. Steve Gallon III, District 1 and Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, District 2. Both will provide valuable perspectives on the impact of immigration policies on education and local families.
“This event is about equipping our community with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions,” said Charles. “Immigration laws are constantly evolving; and those affected must understand their rights and the options available.”
