Councilman Pierre Frantz Charles to Host Annual District 4 Clean-Up Event in North Miami

NORTH MIAMI, FL (April 18, 2024) – Pierre Frantz Charles, M.Ed., the City of North Miami’s District 4 Councilman, invites the public to a day of service and community building at the 2nd Annual District 4 Clean-up, on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Claude Pepper Park, 1255 NW 135th Street, North Miami, FL 33168. 

 

The District 4 Clean-Up offers North Miami neighbors and friends the chance to bond while beautifying one of the City’s flagship parks. Festivities will include a day of cleaning around the park’s perimeter, interior landscaping and the planting of new flowering trees. Community Service hours are available to participating high school students. Event guests will also have the chance to enter tree-giveaway raffles. 

 

"Be the change you want to see in your community,” said Charles. “Join us in cleaning up and beautifying our neighborhood; because together, we can make a difference.”

 

All volunteers will be given gloves, reflective vests and pickers. North Miami Police will be on hand to assist with volunteer safety. Volunteer registration is available online.

 

This year’s District 4 Clean-Up is taking place in conjunction with the City of North Miami’s annual Earth Fair, hosted by Councilwoman Kassandra Timothe, MPA, District 2, also on Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Elaine Gordon Enchanted Forest Park, located at 1725 NE 135th Street, North Miami, FL 33181.
