City of North Miami to Host Community Food Distribution with Mayor Alix Desulme, Ed. D., and Local Partners

NORTH MIAMI, FL (January 14, 2026)

The City of North Miami, led by Mayor Alix Desulme, Ed.D., in partnership with Planet Harvest, Joshua’s Heart Foundation, and the Jewish Community Services of South Florida, will host a free community food distribution on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the North Miami Police Department, located at 700 NE 124 Street, North Miami, FL 33161.

The event is open to the public and will be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. Families and individuals will receive free groceries as part of the City’s continued commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting residents with essential resources.

“This food distribution is about meeting people where they are and making sure our residents have access to healthy food,” said Mayor Alix Desulme, Ed.D. “Through strong partnerships with organizations, such as Planet Harvest, Joshua’s Heart Foundation, and the Jewish Community Services of South Florida, that share the same values, we are able to come together and provide real support to families across North Miami.” The City encourages attendees to arrive early and plan accordingly to transport groceries safely.
