North Miami Celebrates the 49th Annual WINTERNATIONAL Thanksgiving Day Parade

The City of North Miami invites the community to join in the celebration of the 49th Annual Winter National Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 28, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. The dynamic duo Ivy Unleashed and Supa Cindy will host this beloved tradition, South Florida’s premier Thanksgiving celebration.

This year’s parade will be led by Grand Marshal North Miami City Councilman Scott Galvin. For 25 years Scott Galvin has served as North Miami's District 1 Councilman. Along with the community he will celebrate the culmination of his impactful service to the North Miami community during his final term in office.

The parade promises family-friendly fun, community spirit, and spectacular entertainment. Both the North Miami and North Miami Beach marching bands will return to partake in this year’s festivities. The parade will also feature a vibrant procession of floats including Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Miami Heat Dancers, and decorative police cars, and community groups marching along NE 125th Street, from NE 6th to NE 10th avenues. The main stage will be located at North Miami City Hall, 776 NE 125th Street, North Miami, FL 33161. Limited seating is available at the main stage. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the best spots.

In addition to the festive lineup, the North Miami Police Department will ensure a safe and smooth event by closing and redirecting traffic from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. NE 125th Street will be closed at NE 2nd Avenue. Traffic will be redirected North and South along NE 2nd Avenue. Hard closures will be in effect on both the north and south sides of NE 125th Street, from Griffing Boulevard to NE 12th Avenue.
