City of North Miami to Host “Ride & Fête: Carnival by the Pier” Bike Experience in Celebration of Caribbean Heritage Month

NORTH MIAMI, FL (June 18, 2025)

The City of North Miami invites the people of South Florida to gear up for the Ride & Fête: Carnival by the Pier, an electrifying, adults-only bike ride on Saturday, June 21, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. This high-energy event will feature masqueraders, glowsticks, paint, powder, and pulsing Caribbean rhythms, blending cycling with the colorful spirit of a traditional Caribbean carnival.

This celebration is a part of North Miami’s Caribbean American Heritage Month, a month-long cultural tribute themed, “From the Islands to the World: Our Culture, Our Impact.” Throughout June, the City will continue to host a variety of events honoring the vibrant traditions and enduring contributions of Caribbean communities.

The ride will start at Griffing Community Center, located at 12220 Griffing Boulevard, and end at North Bayshore William Lehman Park, 12220 N. Bayshore Drive. The evening will include a live performance by Bahamian sensation Julien Believe, and an appearance by special guest DJ Sam Sneak.

Participants must be 21 or older to attend. Guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own bikes, scooters, or skates. Registration will begin at 5:45 p.m. under the lighted tree at Griffing Park, where riders can check in and enjoy pre-ride festivities.

Advance registration is required and can be completed at NoMiRideAndFete.Eventbrite.com. Thus far, North Miami’s 2025 Caribbean Heritage Month lineup included art exhibitions, culinary events, educational panels, and live entertainment that showcase the depth and diversity of Caribbean influence.
