NORTH MIAMI, FL (August 19, 2025)
Vice Mayor Kassandra Timothe, MPA, in partnership with Florida Power & Light (FPL), will host a special community outreach event on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m., at North Miami City Hall, Council Chamber, 2nd Floor,776 NE 125th Street, North Miami, FL 33161.
The event will spotlight FPL’s Storm Secure Underground Program, designed to improve the reliability of electric service for residents. Attendees will learn how the program works, find out which North Miami neighborhoods are scheduled for construction, and get their questions answered directly by FPL representatives.
In addition to learning about storm preparedness, residents will also receive practical energy-saving tips and connect with local resources. The program will broadcast live on NoMi TV, ensuring the entire community has access to the information shared.
The FPL Outreach Event is free and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to RSVP.
