The Economic Development Department aims to improve the economic well-being and quality of life of City of North Miami businesses and its residents by implementing the pillars of economic development:
- Business Attraction and Retention: The city focuses on identifying new businesses to establish operations in North Miami through site selection, marketing, public-private partnerships, and incentive funding. Additionally, it supports local businesses through grants, technical assistance, business surveys, and organizational resources.
- Workforce and Talent Development: Connecting residents with skills-training programs and educational opportunities to ensure a skilled workforce that meets the needs of local businesses.
- Infrastructure and Redevelopment: The City emphasizes the revitalization of key commercial corridors and the development of mixed-use projects to enhance the business climate.
