NORTH MIAMI, FL (October 13, 2025)
On Oct. 9, The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) announced the launch of its Mayors Advisory Board and the appointment of Mayor Alix Desulme, Ed.D., City of North Miami, as a board member. This new group of local officials throughout North America will collaborate to build united communities by fighting antisemitism.
Desulme is one of nine U.S. Mayors appointed to the inaugural advisory board, which includes a total of four South Florida-based mayors. Collectively, this group will support CAM’s delivery of its national municipal strategy, advise on best practices and advance implementation of the Municipal Antisemitism Action Index, the organization’s signature framework for measurable and actionable City policies. The board will also guide fellow mayors throughout the nation in bringing initiatives to their respective communities.
“I am deeply honored to be appointed to the Mayors Advisory Board of The Combat Antisemitism Movement,” said Desulme. “This opportunity reaffirms my commitment to fostering unity, understanding, and respect among all communities. Together, we can build stronger, more inclusive cities, where diversity is celebrated and hate has no place.”
The first meeting of CAM’s Mayors Advisory Board took place Sep. 2. Among the board’s first major projects is to play a central role in the 2025 North American Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism. The summit will take place Dec. 2nd – 4th, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
