North Miami Councilwoman Timothe Serves as Principal for the Day at Local Elementary School

December 14, 2022

North Miami Councilwoman Kassandra Timothe, MPA, will join hundreds of local leaders countywide as they serve as principal for a day at a Miami-Dade County Public School (M-DCPS) on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Principal TODAY is an annual event of M-DCPS which promotes partnerships that support public education. These partnerships often evolve into internships for students, mentorship prospects, and other workforce development opportunities.

For Councilwoman Timothe, her partnership location is North Miami Elementary School, 655 NE 145 ST, North Miami, FL 33161. Timothe plans to hold a holiday toy distribution for the students; showcase an array of non-profits during a career day segment; host a Chef Creole catered luncheon for faculty and staff; and serve-up a pizza party for the kids. This day of planned activities is sponsored by Knights of Columbus, Extended Hands Inc., Team of Hope, DJ Lucky C, and Prestige Estates.

“I am honored to have been chosen to participate in Principal TODAY,” Timothe shared. “It is an opportunity for me to connect with the students and I want that connection during this holiday season to be a memorable one – a day that will stay with them for a lifetime.”
