Pierre Frantz Charles was born and raised in Arcahaie, Haiti. Mr. Charles completed his elementary and secondary education before immigrating to the United States in 1995. He completed his college education with two associates in arts and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida. He also earned a master’s degree in mathematics education from NOVA Southeastern University Fisher School of Education. 

Mr. Charles is currently a mathematics teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) and adjunct professor of mathematics at Miami Dade College. He is the CEO and co-founder of One Stop Math Tutoring, LLC. Mr. Charles is also the co-founder of Veronique Destine Foundation, Inc. (FVD), a nonprofit organization established and incorporated in the State of Florida, which is making a huge difference in Arcahaie, Haiti. 

Mr. Charles is the former secretary and president-elect of the Association of Haitian Educator of Dade (AHED). He has also volunteered and generously contributed to other charitable causes both in the United States and in Haiti. Mr. Charles is a member of the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Advisory Committee. He has also helped with and participated in several social endeavors and political campaigns in North Miami, Florida. 

Mr. Charles is the recipient of the 2014-2015 and 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year Award for Miami Central Senior High School and the 2018-2019 Outstanding Mathematics Teacher of the Year Award from the Association of Haitian Educators of Dade, Inc. (AHED).
