Get in Gear Community Monthly Bike Ride

Rides take place on the second Saturday of the month

  • Saturday, November 10, 2018


MOCA Plaza, 770 NE 125 Street, North Miami

Registration: 8:00 a.m.
Departure: 8:30 a.m.
Start/End: MOCA Plaza
Length of the Ride: Round Trip approximately 10 miles

Commit yourself to a healthier lifestyle by participating in this 10 mile ride through North Miami! The ride is safe (where else do you get a police escort?), it’s easy (stops are made during the ride for water and restroom breaks) and it’s fun (bring your friends!).

Our mission is to encourage a healthier lifestyle through exercise and more nutritional diets.

Bring your own bike. Helmets are required for all participants ages 16 and under and encouraged for all participants.

This contest is open to all 11 and 12 graders from any High School in north Miami.

ESSAY TOPIC:
Recently, students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL have been advocating for gun reform nationwide. Regardless of your views towards their efforts, these students are in fact ADVOCATES. Dr. King was a devoted advocate for the rights of people.He believed that everyone should be provided equal opportunity to become prosperous.
What are you an ADVOCATE for and how do you display your ADVOCACY?

  1. Essays are limited to 500 typed words,with a font size of 12 pt. 
  2. STUDENTS MUST complete the Entry Form (Please click here to download the entry form) and submit it with the Essay by Friday, December 21, 2018 by 5:00 p.m.
